EYEBOTZ is a vision robotics workshop designed by team Robogenesis. In this workshop, the participants will give the robot an eye and teach the robot to see the world like the way we human beings do. All these day the participants would have used IR, ultrasonic, LDR sensors which were used for sensing an obstacle or light, but these sensors where never able tell the robot the color of the light or the type of obstacle present in front of the robot. In this two day workshop, using a camera, the robot will be able to tell what the robot is sensing. For processing of the images, we use a tool called as MATLAB, which is widely used in industries. This workshop will be conducted for 2 days (16 Hrs), with each day divided into 2 sessions. GeoAxis Robotics This workshop is for those robotics enthusiasts who want to accomplish the feat of bringing the virtual world into the real world with their own hands. You must always fancy a game you have played in one of those smart phones. You would have always imagined doing the same in the real world. Well you might very well know that the phone uses an accelerometer. Using the same accelerometer you will be able to drive a robotic vehicle just by HAND GESTURES only. In this two day workshop you will also learning about controlling the mouse on your computer, doing real time simulation, driving a robotic vehicle with no buttons/joystick but only your gestures, plain old gestures. Ran out of battery playing with your bot in the real world, then let’s jump into the virtual world. Play games using only your hand gestures. And the best part, you will also be doing the integration of the accelerometer with MSRDS. Next time you want to play a game on some smartphone based on the accelerometer, do not buy one, create one on your own in this workshop.
Haptics refers to the sense of touch. In this workshop the participant will be given the hands on experience along with the complete theoretical know how of building a robotic arm. The participant will build a robotic arm with 3 DOF and this arm will be controlled by a haptic setup which will be assembled on the participant’s arm. The robotic arm will imitate every action made by the participant’s arm. The microcontroller used in this workshop is ATmega8 and the development environment used is WinAVR. This workshop will be conducted for 2 days (16 Hrs), with each day divided into 2 sessions.
Robogenesis comes up with a Winter Internship Program in Embedded systems and Robotics (W.I.P.E.R). This program is pegged at giving in depth fundamental knowledge and exposing students to practical working environments of the industry. This is the program for those who have a passion for technology and think that this is the only way to bridge the gap between theory (whatever is taught in the classroom) and practical (what is used in the industry). W.I.P.E.R is a program where you will be given the complete in and out training starting right from the basics of microcontrollers which are specifically used in the Indian Embedded Industry and we do provide a certificate which will help you out with your placements.
